Our Kindergarten Program offers a balance of academic and social experiences, with a focus on providing developmentally appropriate experiences in:

  • cognitive concept and skill building
  • social and emotional development
  • movement and motor coordination

We believe the integration of these areas provides the optimal growth experience for your child.

CCB Kindergarten Program:

  • fosters independence and choice making
  • encourages problem solving
  • promotes creative and positive self esteem

Children are offered the opportunity to navigate and negotiate their world by:

  • working and playing in a small, intimate community
  • encouraging respect for self, others and their environment
  • time and the ability to practice taught skills

The Kindergarten teacher intentionally plans themes exposing children:

  • integrating language experiences
  • mathematical exploration
  • science inquiry
  • social studies concepts

Indoor and outdoor play is an important part of our Kindergarten day.

  • Use of manipulatives and encouraging observation
  • Questioning and thinking skills

Group sizes are varied, enabling the Kindergarten teacher to support a variety of learning styles.

Low child to teacher ratio enables us to provide an individualized reading and writing program for each child.

Kindergarten Program Goals
